English Box S.A. (“English Box”, “we”, “us”) is a private school of English for executives, with its registered office at Rue du Rhône 14, 1204 Geneva, Switzerland. We are the controller of the personal data described in this notice and process it in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
01What we collect
We collect only what is needed to operate the school and communicate with prospective and current students:
- Enquiry data — name, email, telephone number, and the message you send via our forms.
- Enrolment data — billing address, language history, level assessment results, and scheduling preferences.
- Payment data — handled by our payment processor; we receive a confirmation reference, not your card number.
- Technical data — anonymised analytics about which pages of this site are visited. No third-party advertising cookies are set.
02How we use it
We use your data to respond to enquiries, deliver tuition, issue receipts, and send you operational messages about your programme. With your explicit consent, we may send you a monthly letter on language and leadership; you may withdraw consent at any time using the link in any such email.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with third parties for advertising purposes.
03Where it lives
Data is stored on infrastructure located within Switzerland and the European Economic Area. A limited set of operational tools (email delivery, scheduling) may transfer data outside the EEA under standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
04How long we keep it
Enquiry data is deleted within 24 months of your last contact with us. Enrolment and billing records are retained for ten years, as required by Swiss commercial law.
05Your rights
You may request access to your data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, restrict processing, or receive a portable copy. Write to privacy@englishbox.school and we will respond within thirty days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner in Switzerland, or with your local supervisory authority in the EU.

This site uses only the cookies strictly required to operate. We do not set marketing cookies. If we later introduce optional analytics, we will request your consent first.
07Changes to this notice
We will publish any material change here and date it at the top of the page. Continued use of the site after the change indicates acceptance of the revised notice.
