Confidentiality

Our students are senior leaders. The texts they bring to the classroom — board memos, investor letters, negotiating positions, internal correspondence — are routinely material non-public information. We treat them accordingly.
01The undertaking
Every faculty member and every member of our administrative staff is bound, by contract, to keep confidential anything a student shares in the course of tuition. The undertaking survives the end of their engagement with the school and is enforceable under Swiss law.
02What it covers
The undertaking covers all spoken and written material exchanged in the course of a programme: meeting notes, drafts, recordings of sessions held for review, assessment records, and any communication marked confidential or which a reasonable person would understand to be sensitive.
It does not cover information that is already public, that a student authorises us to share, or that we are required by law or competent court order to disclose.
03Sessions and recordings
Sessions are not recorded by default. If a student requests a recording for personal review, it is delivered to the student and not retained on our systems beyond the end of the programme. Faculty members do not record sessions for their own files.
04Materials brought into the classroom
When a student brings a draft (a board paper, a speech, an investor letter) into a session, we work on it without making copies that leave our possession, and any digital copy we hold for the duration of the work is deleted on completion. We do not repurpose student materials for teaching others.
05Conflicts
We will not knowingly enrol two students who are in active negotiation against each other on the same matter. Where a potential conflict is identified, we will disclose it to both students and either decline the engagement or, with their written consent, assign different faculty members and partition the work.
06If something goes wrong
Any suspected breach of confidentiality should be reported to the Director at director@englishbox.school. We will investigate, inform the affected student within seven days, and take remedial action proportionate to the breach.
